The Bahamas has announced a surprising move to impose a 10% value-added tax on goods and services provided on cruise line private islands, effectively ending a longstanding VAT exemption since the 2014 VAT Act. Cunard Line is set to raise daily service charges on its sailings, starting at the end of April. Galveston Wharves and MSC Cruises have agreed to develop a fourth cruise terminal complex at the Port of Galveston, MSC Seascape set to homeport there starting November 2025. Cruise line stocks for CCL, RCL, and NCLH.
