Cruise news today. Carnival Spirit marks its debut from Mobile today, bringing cruising back to the Alabama Cruise Terminal. Repositioned from Alaska, Carnival Spirit will embark on its first journey today to the Western Caribbean, Florida, and The Bahamas. Royal Caribbean unveils 'Star of the Seas' as its second Icon-class ship, set to debut in summer 2025 and featuring much of the same amenities of Icon of the Seas. Passport processing times are two weeks shorter, aiming to return to pre-pandemic waiting periods. Regular processing will take 8 to 11 weeks, while expedited processing is reduced to 5 to 7 weeks.
