Carnival Cruise Line is making progress on the transformation of Costa Cruises’ Costa Luminosa to Carnival Luminosa. The ship was transferred between Carnival Corporation (CCL) brands in early September. The Viking ocean cruise ship, Viking Sea, broke free from her moorings in Italy this past weekend after a 60+ knot crosswind snapped the lines. The Port of Alaska in Anchorage saw its first cruise ship visit in nearly two years last week. The normal ports for Anchorage are Whittier and Seward, Alaska.
