We revisit Carnival's biggest PR fiasco, the Carnival Triumph "Poop Cruise from Hell", to explore what really happened unfiltered through the eyes of passengers onboard the cruise ship.
The Carnival Triumph Disaster became one of cruising's worst PR nightmares as the Carnival ship caught fire and lost power in the middle of the ocean forcing passengers to horrendous living conditions onboard as they make their way back to America.
The cruise ship departed the port of Galveston, Texas and stopped in Cozumel, Mexico before attempting its way back to Texas. A fire in the engine room on the ship and a series of other unfortunate events stop the ship mid-way and make this one of the worst cruises to ever set sail. The event onboard the Carnival Triumph, formerly part of Carnival Cruise Line's Destiny Class Ships (Carnival Radiance, Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Sunshine, Costa Magica, & Costa Fortuna) even forced other cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines, MSC Cruises, and Princess Cruises to respond to press inquiries about safety in the cruising industry.
