After my first-ever cruise to Alaska, I have to tell you. If you haven't sailed here, then you're missing out. Put simply, it's by far the most memorable cruise I've ever taken... and not just because you don't forget the feeling of a ship shuddering when it hits a block of ice.
For this trip I departed Seattle on a seven-day cruise up to Alaska. I left in May, sailing aboard Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas, headed to up to four different ports -- Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, and then Victoria, BC. I'll cover everything about the trip from the ship to the ports and what I did... and hitting that big piece of ice.
