We are on our way to Hood Canal but first we have to go through the Ballard Locks. Then we make our way around Admiralty Inlet and down the Hood Canal past Bangor Station where the Navy submarines are and make sure that we stay clear of the naval base and dock at Alderbrook Resort down in Union Washington. It was a super low tide at minus 3.87 the next day and the weather was going to be a small craft advisory and we wanted to beat the weather.Leroy took a dunk in the water as he was trying to chase a dog on the dock and missed the dock and fell in. Jon hosed off the boat and then it was off to dinner at the restaurant at Alderbrook. The next day the wind picked up and it was a bipolar day one minute it was raining then windy and then sunny ☀️ It was fun to watch the low tide and see all that it exposed. After enjoying our time at Alderbrook Resort we headed North to Pleasant Harbor to spend the night to shave off about an hour and a half off our trip home. Pleasant Harbor Is where Jon had his first job when he was 13 and 14 years old and made about $2.35 an hour pumping gas and taking care of the marina. Pleasant Harbor is in Brinnon WA which has a very small population of 784 people. He walks the dock and compares how it was then to how it is now. The next morning we leave Pleasant Harbor to go back through the Ballad Locks to head back to our slip and clean up the boat.
