We have the bow thruster blues! We found out that we have water in our Volvo QL bow thruster and need to find out if we need to replace or repair our broken bow thruster. Thank goodness thrusterparts.com makes replacement gears, shafts and seals for obsolete Volvo QL BP1200, BP900 and BP800 bow thrusters. Yacht Performance Center is going to haul the boat out and take the QL bow thruster apart. Volvo doesn't make the QL bow thrusters anymore so we are going to take it apart and see if Jim at Yacht Performance Center can fix it. They were able to find the parts to fix it at Thrusterparts.com and were able to fix it but we will have to wait for the parts and come back to get it installed. In the mean time Jon took the opportunity to clean off the boot stripe with some On and Off cleaner while the boat is out of the water.
