Season Opener Cruise to Andrews Bay

We leave the dock for our season opener cruise to Andrews Bay, after getting many winter projects done and it is time to leave the slip and run those engines! Once we left the dock and secured our fenders and dinghy we head out of Lake Union and cruise to Andrews Bay which is about a 40 minute cruise to set anchor in Andrews Bay. Once we get to Andrews Bay we need to secure the dinghy since we towed to from Lake Union before we can find a spot and set our anchor and chill out for the weekend which was forecasted to be a hot weekend.
The next morning we got a new BBQ accessory to cook bacon on the BBQ and it worked great and was delicious! We tested out our hot water tank that is heated by the genset in the morning and it produces plenty of hot water for the day. The new remote anchor marker worked wonderfully when we set anchor the day before and was spot on.
Andrews Bay is the only place that you can anchor for the weekend and is a favorite places for boaters to hangout. On Saturday is when everyone started to roll in and everyone was having a good time. Maybe too much of a good time :) The sun was hot but the water was about 54 degrees and a bit too cold to swim in but there were some brave souls! We had some friends come and tie up with us and enjoy the afternoon sun. Then it was time for a dinghy ride around the bay and you never now what you are going to see in Andrews Bay!!! It was fun to watch and is super entertaining. We then headed back to our boat to create some of our own fun. It was then time to say goodbye to our friends as they went home.The next morning it was time to head back to our slip again.
