This 1997 Carver 400 Cockpit Motor Yacht is the perfect boat to consider if you are looking for a boat you can enjoy spending extended time onboard. My wife and I fell in love with this boat so much, that we genuinely considered making an offer and moving onboard full time. It was only the combination of working from home, with a husky and grand baby that made us hold off for now.
The boat is powered by twin 330hp Crusader 454 XLI MP (7.4 Liter) gas engines with less than 1000 hours on the clock. This gives a comfortable cruising speed of around 18 knots. There is also a 6.5 kw generator onboard, that again has well under 1000 hours logged.
The real selling feature of this boat is without doubt the accommodation. You have a double guest cabin on the bow, a well-equipped galley including full height fridge/freezer, a spacious guest heads compartment, a dining area that converts to an extra berth if needed, a spacious saloon with reclining leather sofa, and a large ensuite owners’ stateroom aft.
On the outside, you have sun pads on the bow, a large flybridge that can probably seat 6 – 8 adults, a raised aft deck with more seating, and a lower aft cockpit that would be especially beneficial for fishing from.
At only $79,900, this boat offers tremendous value for money, and I would be willing to bet it will not remain on the market for long.
