Panama Canal is one of the great engineering feats of the 20th century, managing to do what nature forgot to do- connecting the Atlantic to the Pacific, reducing the 12,000- mile sailing distance between New York and San Francisco by more than 7,800 miles. We have visited Panama with Coral Princess on February 20th, 2016, It was a partial transit of the Panama Canal trough the massive Gatun Locks to artificial Gatun Lake. There we took a trip to Miraflores Locks which lowers the ships from Gatun Lake to to Pacific Ocean.
