Our week in Oaxaca City, Mexico was filled with: - Trying authentic Oaxacan food and drinks (Oaxacan chocolate, mezcal, tlayudas, mole, tejate, ice cream, street food, and more) - Learning about how Oaxacan chocolate is made in a hidden factory - Going to the maguey fields to learn the process of making mezcal and try it right next to the agave plants themselves - The engaging daily Spanish lessons - Beautiful Oaxacan architecture like the Templo de Santo Domingo and other historic buildings - Surprising cultural experiences like little parades called "calendas" - Free time to explore Oaxaca City
