Soon as we got on board Norwegian Joy, we went to make reservation for all the shows and other entertainment. Norwegian cruise line is known for shows, so be sure to take advantage of the shows. Also if you purchased specialty restaurant, you should make reservation too early as possible.
When you first get on board, everyone is at the buffet, so it is very crowded. But if you hit one of the sit-down restaurant, it is not so busy.
One of the highlight fun activity at Norwegian Cruise ship Joy is Go-Cart. Go-Cart is not free. At the time of the filming, it costed us $15 per race. If you decided to ride Go-Cart, you have to make reservation.
If you have chance to visit Teppanyaki restaurant, it is very good and fun. It is part of specialty restaurant so you have to pay separately. Also you have to make reservation.
We had chance to see Foot Loose musical. It is full production musical and you have to make reservation.
Day 3 at the Cabo San Lucas. We walked around to explore the city. We were able to visit Cabo Wabo restaurant which is own by rock star Sammy Hagar. That evening, we went to see Comedy show which was very entertaining. All the comedy show need reservation.
Day 4, we are at Mazatlan port. Here we decided to hangout at Stone Island. That evening, we ate at Food Republic. It is sushi restaurant and it is specialty restaurant which mean you have to pay separately. After dinner, we watch the magic show. All the shows and specialty restaurants need reservation. So make sure you make the reservation early.
Day 5, we are Puerto Vallarta. Here we decided to spend the day at Marriott hotel in Puerto Vallarta. We purchased a day pass for $28, it includes use of their amenities all day plus about $20 food and drink credit.
Afterward, we stopped at Walmart to look around at Puerto Vallarta
Last two days, we decided to explore the ship even more. First we start the day at the gym. The gym in Norwegian Joy cruise ship is very big. We did the water slide. There are two water slide, one is more of family friendly one and other is fast scary one. Then we hit the virtual reality arcade. All the arcade in virtual reality arcade is not free. You have to pay extra. For dinner, we ate at the Cagney's Steakhouse. Cagney's Steakhouse is specialty restaurant so you have to pay extra for it.
