World cruises have become ever more popular over the past few years, as people look to cruise travel as a way to conveniently and comfortably visit the far reaches of the globe. Traditionally, world cruises have been the mainstay of lines like Cunard, Princess and Holland America. Now, Royal Caribbean have decided it’s time to get in on this growing market.

Their newly announced Ultimate World Cruise sets sail in 2023 onboard Serenade of the Seas. The voyage is scheduled to sail round trip from Miami and take it’s lucky passengers across the globe in complete comfort, with visits to all 7 continents on Earth. Yep, even Antarctica.

Setting off from the US cruise capital on December 10th 2023, passengers that opt to complete the full navigation won’t return to Miami until September 10th, 2024. That is 274 nights! This epic voyage will transit through 65 countries with over 150 ports of call. Passengers will also visit 11 World Wonders including Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, the Great Barrier Reef, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal and the Pyramids of Giza among others. What’s more, over 40 ports are either completely new to Royal Caribbean or rarely available on their standard itineraries.

As part of the world voyage, guests can choose to take part in smaller legs called Expeditions. These shorter legs will open up for booking in December, and consist of a 64 night Miami to Los Angeles voyage departing, an 87 night voyage from Los Angeles to Dubai, a 63 night voyage from Dubai to Barcelona, and a final 63 night voyage from Barcelona to Miami.

Booking the entire world cruise comes with a few perks of course, and these include:o Round-trip business class airfare from your home cityo Pre-cruise hotel and galaAnd Premium transfers between airport, hotel and ship In addition, Crown & Anchor Society guests who, at least 180 days before the world cruise departs, hold Platinum status and above will also receive the exclusive benefit of included excursions to the 7 New World Wonders.

All guests, including those booked onto one of the 4 expedition voyages will also receive:o Deluxe Beverage Packageo VOOM streaming quality interneto included onboard Service Chargeso and a Wash and fold laundry service

As an added onboard perk, guests who progress through the Crown and Anchor loyalty program during the cruise will be rewarded with their newfound perks whilst onboard. Traditionally, passengers would need to wait until their next cruise before they’re able to enjoy their new loyalty reward perks. I think it’s safe to say though, that the vast majority of people on this cruise will either be finishing up the world cruise as either Diamond Plus or Pinnacle. If you’d like to learn more about the Crown and Anchor loyalty program, click the link in the description below or the card above to watch my video.

How do you book? A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a stateroom on the Ultimate World Cruise. You can hold a room for 2 weeks before the deposit is due, and final payment is due 180 days before departure. Guests will also receive a 10% discount if they pay their fare in full by January 6th 2023.

Passengers will have the option to send luggage to the ship ahead of their own arrival, and if for any reason a guest needs to leave part way through the cruise, the onboard concierge team will duo their best to arrange for them to rejoin the ship in another port of call.

This 9 month voyage of a lifetime is already selling quickly - balcony rooms start at approximately AUD$110,000 per person, twin share. The Royal Suite, Owners Suites and Junior Suites already appear to be sold-out, as all are waitlisted. So if it’s luxury you’re after, you’ll have to make do with the Grand Suite of which there are only 5 available at the time of recording - and one can be all yours for a cool $220,000 per person twin share.

Stateroom upgrades will not be available. Each guest that is booked into a room will remain in that room for the entire voyage, so it’s important to book the stateroom of your choice up front.

Thanks for watching, and see you soon!
